The Mediterranean is more than just a sea, it’s a concept, a state of mind, an identity that transcends borders, nations, ethnicities and religions; we like to think of it as a Tribe, a single entity having several branches with shared roots. We believe this shared identity is one that can foster unity, togetherness and peace. Forming the aquatic crossroads of Europe, Africa and Asia - the countries of the Mediterranean basin share a rich history, shaped by human migration over the course of millennia, with the cross-exchange of culture, language, cuisine, and a unique shared genetic legacy. While the cuisine, language, and culture might not be the same in every country, there is a thread of familiarity that weaves the region together, an underlying Mediterranean essence. The goal of Tribe of Med is to proclaim Mediterranean pride and love, while fostering peace and unity based in a pan-Mediterranean identity. We are starting a movement, hoping and praying for a more peaceful tomorrow, so that we may Sea Us Unite.
